Ever since I started my business over a year and half ago, I have wanted to find a way to stitch along with my community. There is something extra special about working on a project with the support of a community. Today I am excited to announce that I have a plan for us to stitch a beautiful Nativity scene together!

Introducing – the Nativity Scene Stitch Along, Nov. 8 – 12th

How it works

Every day, starting Monday, Nov. 8th, I’ll post a video or go live on instagram, and stitch one section of the design. First, I’ll cover set up and tracing your pattern. Second, we’ll cover the stitches, with a stitch or two per day. You will watch the videos and work on your own hoop. You will be able to ask questions and have them answered in real time (or ASAP).

Next, you will post a progress photos on instagram and tag @nelandjocrafts to be entered into a drawing for a prize at the end of the week. (Winner will be announced Saturday, Nov 13th. Drawing will be closed after that date.) Here’s the best part! You don’t have to stitch a Nativity hoop to enter. You can share a progress photo of any hoop you are working on to enter.

• Monday – Nov 8th | set up and tracing your pattern
• Tuesday – Nov 9th | manger, satin stitch
• Wednesday – Nov 10th | baby Jesus and other details (live video this day)
• Thursday – Nov 11th | Joseph, turkey work
• Friday – Nov 12th | Mary, woven wheel

How to Join

Joining the Nativity scene stitch along is easy. First, go to my instagram page @nelandjocrafts and follow me. Second, sign up for post notifications by clicking on the little bell in the top right hand corner of my profile page and selecting “posts.” Third, watch the videos and be sure to post your progress to enter the drawing.
